    PMC Ladder backup on 16MA

    Dear all,

Unsuccesfully, I try to make a backup of the PMC Ladder, on a Mori seiki SH63 machine.
I've an ATA card slot fitted on the Cnc box, but I can not put 4 in the parameter #20 (I/O device). Alarm: data out of range, but I can put 5 in this parameter (hard disk device).
Can somebody help me in this procedure, or other (RS232, but Ive never use it before).

    Thanks a lot

The 16A never supported pcmcia cards. The ladder is stored on eproms.

You can output the ladder by cable using rs232c.

I often did it, but never had to reload it this way.

Try to use an SRAM card.
And back it up through the boot screen.

It is NOT an 'ATA' card slot, but a pcmcia slot. ATA refers to the memory type off the pcmcia card. Only the i-series controls could be used for general i/o. The 15B,16/18 B or C could not.
