    Haas HRT210 motor replacement

Just picked up a HRT 210 that needs a motor. It has the sgm-08u2ha12 yaskawa motor. Anyone pick up this model motor from a supplier other than Haas? I have found quite a
few with the exact same model number, seems like it should be a direct replacement. Anyone have experience with doing this?

I've been checking out all the ones on ebay. Seems to be a bunch in Hong Kong. Looks like they are the exact same models

as you've already found, plenty on fleabay. Make sure you get the correct part number. It's more common to have a different encoder on the ebay options.

Hwo do you tell which encoder it has other than the model number? Is it in the O/N or S/N number? There is no separate encoder part number.

have you considered getting your motor fixed? I've used Precision Electric Service in the past with great results.. 800 732 4695 At least you would know you have the right motor!

    Re: Haas HRT210 motor replacement

I had the motor into global electronic services. The motor was supposed to be rebuilt but my haas doesn't seem to see the encoder. Checked continuity on all the cables. Sent motor back and it came back the same way.

Should the encoder read on the haas display when the servo power is shut off? I'm guessing yes because I turned one of the ball screws and the numbers on the controller changed. So as far as I can tell I get no encoder read from the motor, but the re-builder says everything works. Anyone got any ideas
