    Datron M8 Cube Data Collection

    Dear all,

We are working on a digitalization solution where we are trying to connect and retrieve data from various machine controllers. We already have HAAS, Mazak, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Fanuc Robot, OPCUA etc. but we soon encountered Datron which we have not seen by now.
From one side Datron themselves are not cooperative, on the other - there is no information available publicly for MTconnect or OPCUA adapters. Cimco also does not seem to support that machine.

Please share ANY idea on how to establish communication with the controller and retrieve data.

    Cheers

Even though you mentioned that Datron hasn't been cooperative, it's still worth contacting their technical support team. Sometimes, persistence can pay off, and you might eventually connect with someone who can provide assistance. If Datron isn't providing the necessary information, you might need to resort to reverse engineering. This involves analyzing the communication protocols and data formats used by the Datron machine controller. It's a complex and time-consuming process, but it might be your only option.
Look into third-party software solutions that specialize in connecting various machines and controllers. While you mentioned that Cimco doesn't seem to support Datron, other software tools might be available that can act as intermediaries between the Datron controller and your existing systems.
