    Problem with NCnet Lite....

I've had NCnet Lite for about 7months now, and I use it pretty much every day. It's easy to use, and quick to setup. However....
Today I went to send a program to the machine, and it popped up an error: "Incorrect Function", same thing with recieving programs. I tried un-installing and re-installing, but it did not remedy the issue. Any ideas people? I really don't want to be punching in a 5 page program by hand......

I checked my RS-232 cord, and that was fine. I am using a USB to RS-232 converting cable (my laptop doesn't have a serial port) the port tested out fine, according to the computer. NCnet says it doesn't....

I have had the same issue. Under the computer's device manager I uninstalled the COM port being used (for NCnet) and then scanned for hardware changes. The drivers were then correctly installed. Everything worked fine after that.

Not necessarily related to NcNet, but I use a similar computer/USB setup.
I have found that I have to use the same physical USB port all the time or I am constantly changing Com addresses because the computer assigns the other ports different numbers.

I have installed “NCnet Lite free” to communicate to our CNC machine. After selecting a file to send, it adds 3 characters in front of the file name and therefore it comes back with the message, “File does not exist / can not find file”. Are you familiar with this issue?
