Question New guy needing an assist. I have X & Y movement, but its very tiny.

    New install on 6040Z machine.

I have the unit set in mach3 for inches. Created file in Aspire 10. Uploaded the file into Mach3 on Vista machine with windows 7 upgrade. All looked good so I hit run.
Code runs, I get movement but its very, very tiny movement.

Axis calibration gives me the following:

    X & Y
    steps- 400
    Velocity 3000
    Acceleration 425

Material size on file shows as X=10.0 Y=10.0 Z=0.99

Actual cut size is about 3/4 inch square......

I can manually run table entire width and length. Tried multiple files all run tiny. Machine is set to Inch. Aspire is set to Inch. Files show to be Inch.

Any Ideas or things to try to get the machine to cut correct dimensions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

The step count seems pretty low. It looks like you were in mm when you ran the motor tuning dialog. Try increasing the steps per unit until the commanded position on an axis move matches the actual distance travel (or running the setup dialog again, making sure it knows the unit is an inch, not a mm.) You probably want a step count of about 10,160 (400 x 25.4).
