    Change CNC Controlbox

I have a CNC that is self contained so doesn't need to be connected to a computer, I just add the file to cut onto a mini SD Card and put it into the Controlbox. I'm now wanting to connect directly to a computer so what recommendations does everyone have for the Power supply and controlbox replacement? Its 600x300 and 1500w Spindle

Do you plan on upgrading your stepper drives too?

I wasn't planning too, the CNC has only done around 30 hours since new.

So you happy with the overall performance of the controls?

Was a lot of setting up and mucking around originally when I bought it, I haven't used it for around 2 years so I just want an easier system so I can control it directly

Happy to use anything, if I remember I couldn’t use mach3 because it wasn’t connected to a computer

I use uc300eth on my machine with an Aussie made breakout board. Both work very well for me. The UC300 require a 5V psu and the bob a 12V. But there are many other options as people will most likely tell you.

Can you take a pic of inside the box, maybe you have enough space inside to do the mod

I’m trying to determine your motivation here. There are so many options it is hard to say what is best. The first thing that comes to mind is this does the current controller support drip feed or other PC to controller communications. Is it does that would be the cheapest way to improve file handling.
