    KBWS-25D controller help

I just received a KBWS-25D speed controller to replace my X2 mini mill controller...

I don't seem to be getting any dc output voltage I have a .5 h/p resistor installed and the board seems to power up fine the pwr on led lights up and doesn't seem to be doing anything strange
Just can't get dc output turn potentiometer either direction no difference I used the potentiometer that came with the kb.. it seems to be ok the ohm go up and down when turning the dial..

    any suggestions?

    Thanks gary

I can't fathom the board out tbf.
Now the 3 connections to the pot I see are: high, wiper & low from that board.

The way the 3 on the X2 work are: 12v+, wiper & 12v neg.

Whether this difference is the issue or not I have no idea.

    Addition:
I noticed it says it's a PWM drive so maybe it doesn't give out the 12v supply the X2 pot needs to run. Odd.

I figured it out, the problem was with inhibit switch wiring, on the old mills controller they function as closed switch, on the kb controller they need to be open or no dc power output..
    so got it going..

    Thanks

Ah yes. Forgot about the 'active low' / 'active high' differences.
I haven't wired my X2 spindle in yet.
I was going to fit a relay on the overload light to the Mach3 E:stop circuit. I often get my tooling stuck in a part so in this scenario I want Mach3 to stop dead with it.

However my E:stop is a normally open type so I need to swap it for a n,c type so it will all to work in harmony.
Just haven't got round to it.

    Glad you figured it out

Any chance of posting up a quick wire diagram of how you hooked up the KBWS-25D controller? I'm looking to do the same thing, but haven't ordered the board yet.

Not answering your question but be very careful with this drive. It burns very fast without warning. Use fans on the box/cabinet for a good air flow. When it burns it is almost impossible to repair.
