PEGA 357 Fanuc 04P-C memory parameters

Our turret punch lost some of its parameters last week. I thought we had a backup, but it turns out it isn't quite right. I've been able to upload it by searching though existing threads on here but in edit mode it's showing an incorrect amount of memory (280640 characters) and when I try to upload a program it gives me a 070 Memory Overflow error. I have a second set of parameters from another machine that I tried uploading and with those it shows 60000 ish characters iirc (about half the memory that it should have) however I am able to upload a program to it. But the axis/servo settings in those parameters are incorrect for our machine.
Does anyone know what parameters affect the memory?

Parameter 302 bits 1~5 should be '0' and bit 6 should be '1'. Leave other bits alone.

It turned out our nc and pmc parameter backups are ok. Parameter 302 is 01000001 which gives 127920 characters. I'm not sure why I thought our pmc parameters were bad, I can't remember if they guy that fixed it last time told me or if I was confused by them being different to the parameters displayed on the Diagnostic parameters page. As far as I can tell there isn't any way to see the pmc parameters without doing a backup and viewing the backed up file.

In case it's useful for anyone else, here's what I did that worked:

hold 0 and delete while powering on to delete all the nc and pmc parameters and the stored programs and macros. I think cancel+delete is supposed to delete just the nc and pmc parameters but didn't seem to work for me.
    Enter parameters 0-5, 300-304, 310-312 and 340-341 manually.
Follow the instructions in the "04PC Parameter Back-up and Restore Procedure ver 1_2.pdf" for uploading the nc and pmc parameters. Basically, in MDI mode on the parameters page push the > soft key the P-9999 then READ soft key then start the software uploading the nc parameters. The pmc parameters are done the same way except from the Diagnostic parameters screen.
I was using NCnet Lite to upload them and initially it wasn't working, the READ on the turret screen would flash but as NCnet started uploading the parameters, READ disappeared and changed to LSK on the 04P-C screen. I found out I had to change the stop bits in NCnet Lite settings from 2 to 1. Other NCnet Lite settings were 9600 baud, parity even, data bits: 7, stop bits 1, handshake: software.
