Question Y Slave axis = A axis judders and doesnt work as good as others

    Hi

    Im having some issues

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue

    My slave axis = A

The A Axis after lying ideal doesnt move?

    or judders etc

my connections and motors are all 100% checked again and again

im thinking now that the one x Power supply im using to drive the 4 x Nema 23 MOTORS Isnt enough and when the system is ideal, doesnt move the same as before

Im thinking the the PSU doesnt have enough Amps or voltage to help drive the 2 x axises at the same time?

I get it working and im all happy then come back 5 mins later and the A axis will not move

    what do you guys think?

Power supply or dodgy driver board?

    adam

Hi Adam - Sounds mechanical. Have you really checked the mechanics are all OK? On my machine this has happened and it turned out the grub screw on the motor shaft was loose. Since then only use strong loctite for all shaft connections. Peter

Hi Peter i actually checked that also

This is strange but its all good now!

I checked all the dip switches on the drivers and messed with mach3 settings "motor tuning"

ive saved all the settings and switched of PC and Controller 3 x times now and its all very good!

Underneath my A axis BELT! There was a small bit of plastic under the belt so sure that didnt help!

I have a new issue and question but think its best to do a new post for that!

    THANKS PETER

    Just an Update!!!!!!!!!

    WORKING GREAT NOW!

To anyone else who has this issue of any JUDDERING type effect on your axis!

In my case it was down to the power supply " I used a new Mean Well power supply and dedicated that to my A Axis! and guess what works 100% now

So the other power supply was being shared over different drivers and i assume it didnt have enough amps there to get things moving freely!

    thanks
