Working on the SL15.

I am trying to remove material from the inside of a part, which is going fine. But what I want to do is make a final clean up pass on the inside face and wall. On my manual lathe, this is what I would do.



I can't figure out how to get path pilot to allow me this.

Any help?

Profile instead of ID Turn!!

Assuming you're trying to do this in PP conversational I don't see any reason why the ID Turn function will not accomplish your goal. In PP V2.3.6 click the EXTNEDED radio button in the ID Turn conversational window and you can specify both rough and final cuts for the ID & face surfaces.



That should do it!

Yep, in PP. That might also do it for me. I'll have to give it a try.

This is what it did with using Profile.

How about another "help me"?

External profile that worked great until I made a DOC adjustment and now it is doing this. Top of the picture shows an angled line which corresponds with what is shown in the lower half, yet it wants to cut a square out.

I still don't know what was going on. I was working with PP with the machine off and just the controller powered up. Started getting errors when trying to save edits that stated it couldn't be done with the machine powered off.

Rebooted, powered everything up, still had an issue.

Wrote down everything that I had already entered, deleted the file, rebooted with a full power up. Re-entered all of the info again....works fine.
