I'm troubleshooting lost steps on my mill. I have a PC, parallel port connected to a Gecko G540.
I have to toggle the Dir LowActive ( in Port and Pins screen) in order to get the relevant axis to move in the proper direction, which is OK.
So my question is: Does toggling the option ( to show a green tick mark) on Dir LowActive possibly change the pulse width in a way that would make steps easier to loose?
I did increase pulse width in Motor Tuning ( from 2 microseconds to 4) and am in the middle of a long program to test the change, but was wondering.
On a related matter, does longer pulse widths for Step mean more energy is sent to the motor, increasing heating?
