    Steel Cones

Requesting some lathe work for what amounts to some steel cones. Looking for 17-4 stainless, tolerance is NOT the most crucial. say +/- 0.002" 3D drawings available as well.

Sorry. Should have specified. 10-20 pieces, shipped in 1-2 weeks would be ideal

    Re: Steel Cones

What is the application? The reason I ask is the fact most people are not going to be able to locally source 17-4 stainless so most will be quoting off of the price of internet stores which is going to put material cost per piece in the $10-$15 each range depending on quantity and set-up part allowance. How about the 1.385 dimension? Using 1.5" wastes a lot of material as
1- 7/16" isn't readily available. If you could drop that dimension to 1 3/8 +/-.003 that would also drop the price. If you made this out of 1 3/8 303 or 304 the costs would go way down. With the price of internet bought 1 1/2" 17-4 for 10-20 parts I believe you will either get very few quotes as guys like me will pass or the prices will be sky high. I figure I will think out loud, no reason to bombard an RFQ poster with questions about the part.
