    Power supply input voltage conversion

    Hey guys,

I’m very new to cnc. I’m working on my first diy cnc laser. I got my reci W1 and hy-dy10 power supply as a bundle from a Chinese supplier on Ali-express. When I received the power supply it was labeled as the 220V model. Living in the US obviously I need it to be 110V. There is no switch on the side like I expected and the seller won’t take a return unless I ship the laser back to China as well... so that’s not an option. What is my best option here?
I found an insctructible article claiming to be a conversion ( https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Convert-220V-to-110V-on-a-Chinese-CO2-Laser/ ) but I’m not sure if doing that is going to be a shortcut to letting the smoke out. Can anyone shed some light on my a situation?

Re: Power supply input voltage conversion

Why not just use a suitable 115/230V transformer and feed the power supply with it's rated voltage?
