looking for a good material for machining

    Hey everyone
I'm new to the forum and not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I am in need of a good machining steel.
I have looked at 12l14 and C1144 and others similar but they only come in rounds as far as I can tell. I need something that machines as well as 12l14 with a good finish but comes in square and rectangle.
does anyone know of something or am i out of luck?

    thanks

Mcmaster has 12L14 and 1215 in squares up to 2.5 inches. Online Metals has 11L17 rectangles. 1018 machines pretty well also.
