Is there a way to test #2 port for mpg

    Hello guys
I came across a video on build your own cnc.com and he was testing the main#1 printer port as seen in the video . I was wondering can and should this method work for testing the 2nd /#2 printer for a mpg?
here is video where he is testing his printer port with mach 3 to see if mach3 is seeing the pins and the numbers of the pins to see if they are working together can this work for the 2nd port? Please guys can someone let me know if this will work for testing the 2nd port?

Thanks zasto I have something alot like this but I was wanting something more to test mach3 and the 2nd printer port to see if the port is listening to mach 3 . I used the parmon tester to monitor and change the settings but for some reason my pc or my pci card is changing back to the original settings after the pc is shut down . I have changed my bios I changed it in my device manager but it still goes back to the settings that dont work for mach. This is why i was looking for a method to test each pin to see if it does what mach3 is telling it to do

In the test in the video what does it mean if I get 5 volts no matter the pin number and no matter the direction I push in mach3 to the positive or the negative it is still 5.03 volts ??? Does this mean the port is not responding ??

Re: Is there a way to test #2 port for mpg

Ok this is where I'm at with this I bought a pmdx-1parpci from pmdx and bought a c22 board from cnc4pc and I still can not get this mpg to work . Right now I can jog using the pendant only if I use the tab key and select the axis I want to jog none of the selector switches work and neither does the resolution switches (x1,x10,x100) . I have went as far as switching the ports around and using the 1 port to see if the mpg would respond to it and I get the same results . Does anyone else have a 2nd port using it for a mpg and have been successful???HELP PLEASE HELP

Cool Re: Is there a way to test #2 port for mpg

    Read this one: https://cnc4pc.com/Tech_Docs/guide_f..._over_LPT2.htm

Be aware that the brains affecting your use of MPG should be ENABLED!

It was long time ago when I was using my DIY pendant on LPT2
