    Cutting MFC (melamine faced chipboard)

    Hello,

If anyone has any commercial experience cutting MFC I would appreciate some advice.

What would be the optimum cutter diameter for cutting 18mm MFC (Egger etc) and suggested speeds and feeds.

We are not totally obsessed with achieving max cut rate, more interested in a sensible speed with good chip clearance and tool life (2 passes?).

Really I am looking for someone who cuts this stuff on a daily basis to get some insight into how it is done.

    Thanks
