    Orbital Milling

    Hello,

My employer just purchased a new FH1250 SX dual pallet HMC. Toyoda sold us an "Orbital Milling" feature that we plan to use for tapered bores, spiral grease groves etc. The tech guys from Toyoda had no idea they even offered the option or how to use it. Does anyone have experience on how to pull this off? Specifically how to program such a tool path in Mastercam, and what codes are necessary to interpolate a bore while keeping the spindle normal to center using G02 or G03? I've scoured the internet and found videos of the process but can find no information on how to program it.

    Re: Orbital Milling

We recently bought a Toyoda 630 SXi HMC with the same option, and we're having the same issues. Has JTEKT helped resolve your issues? Are you able to do any boring?
