just wondering if any one could help. My mazak is alarming out with an 22 sum check error. The alarm code isnt in the manual. The alarm comes up on cycle start and on a tool change. I havent seen this alarm before and just hoping some one could share some wisdom. Thanks

Most likely Rom parity, (LED3 lit on FX84) or Ram parity, (LED2 lit on FX84). Unless it is ROM parity, a cheapish repair for a Mazak engineer. Can also happen if battery alarms are ignored for to many times. I have never had one that was ROM parity. Call out fee plus an hour or so on site.
Have also had it where the tool layout was corrupt, done a layout cancel, reinput data and alarm gone.

I had this same error last week on a Mazak I am installing.Asked Mitsi what was causing it and the answer I got was "most likely caused by parameters Y01,Y02,Y03 or Y04".
However when checking the control I found I had low battery voltages on two boards.Leaving the power on overnight to charge them up cured my problem.
