    programming non 60 degree threading

Am I missing a way to disable constant area in PP conversational? Or do I have to hand code any non-60 degree threading? The one I'm working on right now I need to use a grooving tool, but I know acme will come up soon too.

Hmm, I'll take a look and see.

Edit: It looks like if you edit the G-Code and change the "Q" from 30 to 0 it should do what you are asking.

Mostly checking that I didn't miss a setting in conversational. I find as I get older, sometimes the setting I want is right there, but I just keep overlooking it. Plus all my screens and printed paper keep getting lower and lower resolution every year, strange...

It looks like there is a value for depth progression "R" that is set at "2" that may need to be altered also? and I don't find any explanation of the operator "D" in the tormach manual or linuxcnc. Other systems seem to treat G76 differently.

this is what conversational creates for 5/16-18 thread. I ended up getting the thread to cut with a acme 10tpi insert and set q for 14.75

I hear you there. I missed the extended tab that was staring me in the face a while back for I.D. work.

I haven't looked, but I would take a guess that "D" is for the taper that can be cut while threading. If you mock up a threading operation and add a taper, if that number changes, then you'd know.

Good to hear that you were able to get it to work.
