    Motor from China

    Hello all,
This is my first time here, and I’m looking for help on wiring a 220vac motor from China to a three prong 220 vac US (NA) 220 vac power cord. The motor came from China with a two wire two prong plug and no ground wire. The motor nameplate which depicts the wire connections is missing from the motor. I attached a picture here, but not sure if this post is going to show that. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Typical for Chinese equipment to lack proper Grounding, Attach a 2 wire plus GND power cord, attach a GND wire to a secure place on the frame of the motor.
I assume this is a 220v 1ph AC induction motor, it can be ran off of N.A. 240v supply.

Hello, yes this is a single phase 220 AC motor which also has two capacitors mounted to it and terminated to the term block, those are the blue and brown leads.

One weakness that is often seen is failure of the caps after some short usage.
Ground the frame and it should be OK.
