I recently started a contract job to assemble a device inside ABS enclosures. Every enclosure requires 6 holes of varying sizes and internal protrusions to be removed. These modifications are taking about an hour per box (even after making a drill guide). I need to reduce my production time and thought there might be a CNC option.

I expect to have to rotate the box to get to each side for the required holes. Each box is 8” (200 mm) x 4” (100 mm) x 4” (100mm). Only need to put holes in 3 of the 4” sides and could possibly hole 1 side during the protrusion removal.

I would like to be able to set it up to do 3 – 5 boxes at once. Accuracy at .01” would be fine.

Long term I am looking at approximately 1000 units, if it goes higher I'll probably lose my mind.

Any helpful guidance would be greatly appreciated.
