    G76 issue

I am threading an 8-acme inside thread, I set the Q to 14, however the cut angle is much greater than that. probably closer to 20 or even as much as 25 degrees. when I cut a 60 degree thread and set the compound angle Q to 30 it works fine. has anyone else had this issue and may have a fix for it?

    this is the code:

    G76 P0.125 Z-3.0 I0.100 J0.008 K0.170 Q14 R1.5

I plan on trying a Q7, but even if that works I would still like to understand the problem.

    thanks for your help.

    Re: G76 issue

I'm not running LinuxCNC myself, I'm using PlanetCNC which claims compatability with LinuxCNC.
I copied & pasted your code into my controller and it looked good.
