Unhappy Multicam 3000 series router port issues

I'm having issue with my machine losing connection between the controller and the computer. When this happens the machine stops moving but the spindle keeps spinning until i pause the program. I have talked to multicam tech support a few times and they tell me its something on my end. They said it has something to do with ports. I can't seem to figure this out.

    I'm using suit 4.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Re: Multicam 3000 series router

We run a couple Multicam machines and this has happened several times. The most common reasons we have found is a faulty connection between the hand held pendant or dust getting into the handheld unit itself. It seem to short out something in the electronics or at least change some resistance of the inputs. A number of different times we have successfully removed the back of the hand held, carefully blown it out and eliminated a 'froze in place' or unresponsive machine. Hope this helps.
