Your processor board is going.
Same issue I had. .27 cent C40 capacitor in the -232 comms chip. (Or something in chip itself). Find post by me on the other site. P
R a tic l. Mach in sts. Same handle. From 2018. Details all. Same for a post in the last month with some help to a member in how I did the repair.

C41 if I recall. The -12 is 'derived' from a special RS232 capable IC. (all the tech goo is in my thread). And the small capacitor is part of the required components to 'make' -12VDc for RS232 internally to/from the serial connected areas like keyboard comms ( I think.. it's been a few years now). Anywho- That caps begins to fail and you get the ffffff or ggggg stuff. it's an easy fix if you can run a small solder pencil. My post goes into the special solder tools I used. it's like $40 for the iron Don't think your going to grab the big Weller iron you had since the 90's and do it typically.
