newb question - machine all wired up - doesn't move

I'm trying to get my home made cnc router working. I'm using Mach4 with a PMDX 424 SmartBob-USB motion control board and Gecko Drivers. When I input a simple command like G1Y1. into mach everything seems to work correctly with mach and the motion control board. Mach counts up on the correct axis and the motion control board step led flickers so it seems to be receiving the move command and as far as I know its outputing it as well. However I don't get any movement on my stepper motors. The wiring all seems correct. Not sure what to try next. I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit with 8GB of ram. 640 oz-in steppers and power supply wired for 110 volts.

Try a bigger move and check your steps per unit are correct. Peter

Check that the wiring to the steppers is correct. The OP doesn't say how many pairs of wires are coming out of the steppers or what process was used to determine which pairs were part of the same circuit.Without intending to cast aspersions i would be curious to know if undiagnosed colour blindness may be a factor-could be worth getting checked out.

I had the wires at the SmartBob-USB connected incorrectly. After redoing, I have movement. Thanks all for your responses.
