    Beating the dead horse...USB emulator?

    Hello All,
    I'm new here and have read some threads from 2012 about USB emulators. The shop that I work in has 2 Haas TM-1s, a VF-3, a VF-11, a TL-1, a TL-3 and an SL-30.
The TL-3 is new enough to have the USB drive built in from HAAS. Everything else takes the God awful floppies.
We are tired of floppy drives that don't load the programs and the suddenly defective discs.
What is available that is reliable? Simple (relatively) to install? And, reasonably priced? We are not interested in the super cheap drives.
The device from Shop Floor Automations looks pretty good. Any feedback on that?
Our shop is not a production shop. We are more a prototype and research and development facility.
    Thank you!
    Andrew Pullen

We aren't looking to network the machines. We want to replace the floppy drives.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Heavy Metal!

Do you have any experience with these?

    Hi Andy,

No, not with this one, we had something similar with a Fanuc tape reader conversion.
But maybe that one will do the job, there's a video on youtube for the device

I have several retro computers, and the go to device for a floppy replacement is a Gotek floppy emulator. You can get them for around $30, but be sure that you get one that is compatible with your floppies (for example the Amiga ones that I use wouldn't work for you unless you re-flashed the firmware).
