VM 40 II can't clear 1012 Sams Alarm

    Hello ,

Machine is a VM 40II with Seicos M 16 III control. It has a 1012 Sams Alarm, controlled axis error. Can't clear it . All the boards have appropriate lights. Anyone have this problem before. Any help would be much appreciated on solving this issue.
    Thanks, Kevin

    Kevin,

check Parameter 1014 against your sheets and let me know. That alarm states "The Number of system axes are smallr than the number stored in PRM1014 - Control Axes"

    John,

Thanks for reply. Parameter 1014 on sheet and mill is on 4. I switched to 0 then back to 4 in thinking to get the axes re read. Had to re enter it via rs232. All green lights on boards. Checked voltage on SPHC and all is correct.
    Thanks, Kevin

    Kevin,

Then it's likely either the SAMS or SASS board. Any other indications of the problem? Anything else weird happening?
