I'm building a new diy machine. My x axis seems to be gaining steps. I'm using Mach 3. I went through the motor tuning several times, and when I think I have it right and try it...from 0 to 3 or more inches, It
seems to be gaining steps. Example...0 to 4" is actually 4 1/16, or 0 to 8" is actually 8 1/4" and so on.
What the heck is happening? Thx

Your steps/unit is wrong. Try setting it over a larger distance.
