Good day.
Simply put I am asking for direction.

I have a 3 axis machine which entails 3 motor drives and 3 servos.

My X axis works.

My Y and Z just enable No movment- here is the kicker- when I connect them to the X drive they will work just fine!!

I have Copley Accelus drives and use the CME software.

I have tried to copy the drive info from X and place it on the Y and Z axis but they still do not work- they only enable.

Has anyone ran into this before I am somewhat frustrated as I have ruled out power supplies, wires, controller.
I am trying to get to the bottom of what would cause the motors to enable but not turn on one drive but work just fine on another when I have supposedly copied it over. The drives show no faults

Any insight would truly be appreciated.

It sounds like you've got a couple of bad drives. Either that, or maybe there are some DIP switches or jumpers that are set differently in the X drive from the others.

Accelus has not switches or jumpers - all settings are done through CME.

Try starting from scratch with the Y and Z drives/motors. Disconnect the I/O cable and only connect the servo power and encoder, along with the RS232/USB to your computer.

Use CME to setup a 'new' motor. See if it will turn the motor during the auto-phasing. Then try the auto tune function.

If the auto phasing or the auto tune fails, contact Copley.

If they work, then you probably have good drives and need to fiddle with the settings more.

You can switch the X and Y drivers, and see if the Y driver is woking or not on X axis, if it does not work, then the Y driver should be broken.
Same method for the Z driver.
