Looking to upgrade to a new control on a Bridgeport CNC Series 1 CNC, Good iron but needs a new control. It has stepper motors and I would like to get a compatible control so I don't have to replace the 3 Axis Motors if possible. Any ideas?

Hi,
of the PC based CNC solutions these are worthy of research:
Mach4, requires compatable motion controller and breakout board like Ethernet SmoothStepper
UCCNC, requires a CNCDrive maunfactured motion controller (and sometimes a breakout board) like UC300 or AXBB-E
LinuxCNC, requires a parallel port output board, Mesa produce sophisticated parallel output boards at reasonable cost
Centroid Acorn, supplied as software and hardware solution
