I've same question in V32 using Advanced Rough -> Adaptative Roughing:
How you can see the toolpath don't reaches the 3D faces.
I don't know about your cam program but in the one I use there is a checkbox somewhere for 'rough final' that needs ticking which does it for me.
Or also as a default mine also checks 'stock to leave' of 0.5mm automatically which affects it not reaching bottom of part.
This either needs unchecking or me to create an extra program for a final finish.
No , There isnt anything like that
I made some videos a few years ago that gets into what and why of what you are describing.
Basically the zlevel rough is going to calc off the "Material to be removed", with the surface as a guide, as opposed to the "Surface to be cut"....
Does that make sense to you? if you think about it, you can put it together....
Do you want a link to the videos?
Was just 1. Hope it helps.

Really odd, does seem to work if the stock is set as square or rectangular and greater than the diameter of the part ??????
Or if round stock and using a 10mm Diameter tool then you need to have a stock offset equal to or greater than the tool diameter
Major "BUG" ????????????
Regards
Rob
Thanks , But i don't think this is my case
If you run my file you will see.
its 3.5" block. I'm cutting .25" deep.
It only goes .2 "
You can see it in the model and I ran it on my machine.
Yes, I'm using 32.
Where is BC techs here. I think this is a bug. But then again , i just might be doing something right.
So like this, where it goes to .25 deep on this surface????

To the top!
Back to the top again!
Thank you for that. It was very helpful. It gave me a solution to my problem but appears there are issues that are now bugs.
I removed the allowance and it worked.
1, That says I can't leave a finish allowance?
2. Change the cut depth to .100 will only allow .200 cuts but leaves .050 uncut
3. GO back ,125 depth and it cuts the full .25
4. Set allowance to .0001 and it wont do the second cut.
5. The only way it cuts the full .250 , the depth must be set a even multiple, or it won't make the last cut.
This sounds like a bug to me.
