    Change Gear Needed

I have a Birmingham NSL 19X60 lathe. Previous owner crashed it and tore up one of the change gears. I'll give overall details and can provide more specific details where needed.
I'm not a gear expert so I'll post what I think I figured out.
    132 teeth
    total width of gear 19.05mm
    Pitch circle diameter 198mm
    outside diameter 201mm
    MOD 1.5mm
    Total depth of tooth 3.375mm
Center bore can be whatever you need to cut the teeth with. I can finish machining the gear. Just need the teeth done right.
I can provide pictures of the old gear.

I have a few questions regarding how to use the gears since it doesn't make any sense to me and it's really hard cycling even on flats or downhill. My gears are Shimano Claris R2000, 2x8.

For commuters, a hybrid is a good first bike. Cheap, dependable, and simple to ride, with a wide gear range and rack and fender bosses. In addition, the geometry provides a good balance of speed, agility, visibility, and stability.

I'd go with an entry-level hybrid from a reputable brand. That will be a good-looking bike that will do the job. If you buy it new, it will cost between $300 and $400 check at dirtbikeadvisor.com. However, there is a healthy used market for them, and newish, lightly-used hybrids can usually be found for $150-250. Instead of getting Amazon crap, I'd go that route.
