Looking for opinions on 6040 size T-SLot Build

Just looking for some opinions on the required thickness of the side rails need to be on a machine with a 6040 sized bed, but using longer rails.
Have decided on 45 sized extrusions due the convenience of mount bearing blocks, etc.

Will probably use 90mm high side rails and 45mm thick bed frame with solid 16mm thick Ali bed bolted to it.

My heart say I should use 90 x 90mm for the side rails but I wonder if the 90 x 45's would be ok to use ( just to save money ).

I've no experience with using T Slot.

Will use Minitec or Bosch Nexroth extrusions....HD if I can get it.

If its a gamble to use 45mm wide for the main rails, I won't bother.

@Sterob@happy wheelsI think: Use 90mm high side rails and 45mm thick bed frame with solid 16mm thick Ali bed bolted to it.
