    New drives for original stepper motors.

    Hi All,

    I was wondering if any of you that have already retrofitted a Compact 5 CNC or PC have used new drives with the existing stepper motors? What about the DC spindle motor? If yes, which drives did you use?

    The steppers are not hybrid and are only 72 steps per rev. I really doubt if you could get much more performance out of them.
