    Wood working lathe

    Hello all,

I've been looking at getting into a hobby of woodworking and have a few questions.if anyone can help me would be greatly appreciated.

    1. I've seen a few lathes on-line and was wondering what ex-gst and inc-gst mean?
I did a Google search and came up with nothing.

    2. What's a good lathe for a beginner to start out with?

    3. Are there any good CNC routers and lathes out there as well?

    Thanks

    Re: Wood working lathe

Sorry, I can't answer your first question, but I will answer your other two questions below.

What's a good lathe for a beginner to start out with?
It all depends. It depends on your hobby. For example, if you like to make smaller objects, then a micro lathe may be just what you want. If you like to make larger and more refined structures, then you may need a larger machine to satisfy your hobby.

Are there any good CNC routers and lathes out there as well?
Which is the best CNC router machine? Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is a way to automate the 3D cutting and milling process. The best CNC router machines allow you to do factory-level processing in a small home store. By using the computer and software to guide the predetermined cutting process, the CNC router machine can provide precise and consistent work as required, as well as precise replication and high productivity. The CNC router allows you to use wood, plastic, foam, and many other materials to make carvings, decorations, panels, signs, frames, shapes, furniture-your imagination is the only limit.
