I am new at this and hopefully am posting in the right part. I bought a 3018 CNC router from Banggood and a tutorial says I need to install "grbl 1.1". I cannot find it any place. Any help would be appreciated.

You can find the original grbl 1.1G version here https://github.com/gnea/grbl , it is for an Arduino Uno based controller. If you have an Arduino Mega controller you will find the original grbl 1.1G version here https://github.com/gnea/grbl-Mega. If you are using an other type of controller, or a shield, the boards/shield supplier has to deliver the (probably modified) grbl version because the pins can be arranged different.
Before you reprogram your controller, backup the controller settings, because they will (probably) be overwritten when the board is reprogrammed. Read the WiKi for more information.
