Noobie CNC name plates for custom projects

    Hello all,

I am brand new to the CNC world. My business is looking into producing custom name plates (approx 1"x3") that we can attached to furniture, frames, etc. The name plates will be made with either stainless, copper, or aluminum. I may use the machine to produce other things in the future, however, name plates is the direction we're going. My novice research has lead me to the Carbide 3D Nomad 883 Pro. Is this the direction that I should be looking, or am I off the correct path? My forum search has not come up with the answers I'm looking for.

Thanks for your time. I hope to learn a lot from the knowledge in the forum.

One of these: https://carbide3d.com/nomad/ ? They don't claim it can cut stainless steel; it's intended for soft metals like aluminum, and only for small amounts of that. " Cut Small Metal Parts: Soft metals, like aluminum and brass up to .25" thick cut well on the Nomad." You should look for a more heavy-duty mill, with a spindle that can go slower with more torque.
