Hi everybody.

I am planning on the purchase of a Fiber Laser for engraving steel plates and Rowmark/Gravotech plastics. I have seen a video on Youtube where you can see a piece of gravoply being engraved on a fiber laser machine.



May any of you corroborate if any kind of engravable plastic can be used on a fiber laser machine?

Rowmark and gravoply make both laserable and non-laserable material. Ask your supplier for laserable material and your fiber laser can engrave it fine and dandy.

Truth be told you can laser the non-laserable stuff too... it just takes a bit more finesse.

Fiber laser machines can engrave on both metal and plastic.

Fiber Laser machines are mostly for engraving metal materials. It can engrave plastics, only hard plastics like pp, pvc, other kinds might can not get a good engraving effect (might burn the surface). For non-metal engraving /marking, better choose CO2 laser source. We sells both fiber laser & co2 laser machine, lets talk more detail.
