I'm fitting a glass-scale DRO set and attaching the z-axis moving part to the oil-seal ring on the spindle nose - repurposing the quill depth-stop bracket.

The ring is only attached with two set screws so it wobbles a lot and loosens under vibration. I'm thinking add two more screws and loctite them will stiffen it up. Is it worth using some bearing-fit type loctite on the ring itself too? That would make it hard to get off for bearing maintenance.
