    monitor resolution cutting off menu?

hoping somebody can chime in. i have a 1992 3016 with a cnc 88 controller. i want to replace the old tube with a lcd. when i connect an lcd that has a bnc connector i see everything but the bottom row on some screens. i see the 1st row but not the 2nd. take a look at the attached pic the 1st one shows my main screen with 2 rows. if i drill into a option the 2nd screen shows that 2nd row is not showing up. any ideas?

Did you go into setup for the monitor and set the picture mode? It's 16:9 by default and will need to be set to 4:3

yes i have tried 4:3 (see pic) and the other generic resolutions which do expand the size of the display but each still cuts out the 2nd row of commands.

Interesting. I’m doing an lcd swap next week with identical monitor. I will let you know if I have the issue and what I find out. If you figure it out beforehand please do post.

I have the exact same monitor on a 1995 4020 88HS with no issues. When it was set to 16:9 it did that, but when I changed it to 4:3 it corrected the issue.

How many tree's do I save a year by using an LCD? Isn't my eyes much healthier looking at a LCD than having a CRT in my face all day? Just curious. LOL

Just poking fun. I see you repair other Fadal cards as well. Do you have exchanged cards available or only send ours in for repair?

I just noticed you're overseas. I think shipping might be pretty steep from the USA especially on core returns. I'll keep you in mind though.

    Dear rwskinner,

You save no tree, when your mind is turned off by the stupid marketing songs about "green" as well as about "blue", and as CVD-19 panto-mixtures. There is no "green" energy, just the rest of U235 which was given us to go into the Far Cosmos, but it is burn into nuclear energy and war reactors. Such as you singers will kill a lot of trees when it would be profitable. And your eyes will see soon nothing, just the stupid recommendations of the WHO and WTO about Bug-2000, Pb-Free,.. ISO...

We do not exchange any cards, just repairing. While some CRT monitors are trading-in.

Only the actual professionalism and army are pretty steep these times, and you will pay/cover them from now, and not the virtual marketing lullabies. and not the "shipping" extra fees as if we are in the 18 century. Let the shippers to use normally the Russian organic energy w/o the dullard's politic, and you would be able to send us a job even from the Moon.

Not for further abstract discussions, but for actual and properly formed inquiries and orders.

    Regards,
    Oleg T.
