Hey, Mac user here, and I've been looking at retrofitting a Micro or Mini mill to CNC. I have the option of using another old PC for running it, but it's only 500 or so Mhz. Where as my laptop is a nice Intel MacBook Pro. In my searching around the other day I stumbled across this:

What are the chance this would work if I were running Win Xp under Bootcamp or emulation, or possibly Linux ECM under either bootcamp or emulation? Just wondering if anyone had tried and could give me a thumbs up or down.

sometimes newer isn't better...
go with old p.c., laptops unless they have a rs-232(db-25 or serial (db-9) ports its a real pain in the ars!
