OKUMA CHUCK ID OD GRIPPING 1714 ALARM 4705

hi CNC zone members, I just got this okuma crown (1997) (OSP 7000) it was set for ID gripping "I" in parameters. i changed the setting to "0" , BackUP, then shut off and reboot but i can't get the machine to CLAMP (green light doesn't come on) ergo these alarms
can someone please tell me what the correct procedures are for reverting from ID gripping to OD gripping?

Check your prox switches on the back of the actuator. They probably need adjustment since you no longer will be going "full stroke" to move out with your chuck jaws, but will be gripping in a mid position to grip on the ID. Both cannot be on, only one at a time with newer machines.

Your procedure is correct although power off is not required. Switch adjustment always is.
Experience is what you get just after you needed it.
