NEWBIE Trying to connect Panasonic Drivers to CNC Breakout board

    Hi All,

Recently I purchased a very old CNC machine which has 2 different drivers and motors . I managed to get them running with the Driver display in Jog mode. 1 is a 1kW unit and the other a 400W unit.

    Model numbers are as follows:-

MQDDT3320E03 which is the 1KW unit

and MBDDT2210003 which is the 400W unit

As this machine was connected to a PLC which looked like a large parallel port , I traced the wires to the connector on the board of the second one and this is what I have found

    2 black
    3 white
    22 green
    23 /24 red
    27 blue
    33 yellow

I found a manual on this unit but the pin assignment does not make any sense. Looking at it , could the be a serial input/output 2/3, I doubt it.

I have not tackled the 1KW pinout as the connector is quite narrow and I cannot find any reference to that size and where pin 1 is, it has 4 rows or 6 pins

As I mentioned before in Jog mode of the controllers, I can get both motors to turn in both directions.

If there is any help you can provide , I would appreciate it.

    Thank you
