    E0 Cn error on Spindle

    Hi All, last night my spindle stopped mid job with a E0 Cn error. this is the second time ive had an over current error, last time it was the spindle that was dead, i suspect this one to be dead too as the spare i have on hand works fine.

    it is a 220v Huanyang Water Cooled CNC Spindle Milling Motor 220V 2.2KW 24000RPM 400hz spindle GDZ-80-2.2A

    my CNC was bought used, it is a greenbull 5x from buildyourcnc, and it came with a Huanyang 110v VFD which outputs 220v. model number HY02D211B-T this was what they supplied, and as i got it used, i didn't get a chance to spec it

    The VFD is run off a dedicated 110v 20a supply.

    The original spindle lasted from 2015 -Dec 2018 and the one that just died lasted from Dec 2018 to July 2020. It is controlled via 0-10v control from mach4 via a Warp9 ESS

    Below are the VFD parameters as they are today, hope i used the correct format. i did some reading and i am really confused what i need is PD008 and PD141 are these both spindle voltages or should one be the VFD voltage.

    i understand these spindles are not the best, and that they do die but i want to make sure I've not got settings that are killing them sooner than natural causes.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    Raptor

    PD000=0 for Parameter unlock ( 1 ) for Parameter Lock

    PD001=1 (1 For Remote Control) ( 1 For 0-10v Terminal Control or Remote Trim Pot Control ) ( J1 Also Needs to be set for Terminal Control )

    PD002=1

    PD003=400 (was 300)

    PD004=400

    PD005=400

    PD006=002.5

    PD007=00.50

    PD008=110 (Motor Rated Voltage)

    PD009=15

    PD010=8

    PD011=120 ( 100 Minimum Setting with Quality VFD, 120 is Safe for Water Cooled )
    (Air cooled 150 depending on Temperature this may be lower )

    PD13= 00 ( Is for Factory reset, Only use this to set VFD to Factory Default Settings )

    PD014=15 ( Acceleration Adjust to suit)

    PD015=15 ( Deceleration Adjust to suit) ( PD15 is ignored IF PD26=1 Then the Spindle will Coast to a Stop)

    PD120=000 ( Stall Prevention )

    PD141=220 ( Motor Rated Voltage )

    PD041=03 ( Carrier Frequency max up to 10 )

    PD142=9 (was 7.5)

    PD143=2 ( Motor Number of Poles)

    PD144=3000 (Max Motor RPM) =3,000= (24,000)

    PD70=0 ( This may need to be set to 1 if Control Voltage is 0-5v )

    PD72=400

    PD73=000 ( 100 /120 Minimum Setting Water Cooled AIR Cooled 150 )

    PD120=000

    PD174= 17 (Set to Max VFD Drives Output Amp Rating )

    I think im going to go with these settings, any reasons why i shouldn't?

    Re: E0 Cn error on Spindle

    PD008=220 did not work. it immediately went to the E0 CA error

    PD008=110 works
