CNCEST 6090 Bought used have questions

Hello. I bought a CECEST 6090 from a guy who bought it on ebay but never got it running. He was trying to set up MACH 4 on a Windows 10 machine. I have done CNC programming for a living using Aspire and Microvellum, but I never set a machine up from scratch. Any help will be greatly appreciated. My first 2 questions that come to mind are:

    1. MACH 3 OR MACH 4. I read that MACH 4 can be set up without buying a separate motion controller, and using USB. True?

    2. I need to get my hands on some documentation for the purpose of identifying ports and pins, and any other pertinent info needed to set up this machine and get it working.

Any help or guidance I can get will be greatly appreciated.

Re: CNCEST 6090 Bought used have questions

There's a thread about machines like this in the UK CNC forum: CNCEST 6040 VFD rewire to ST-V2 board help You might try the suggested pin-out and see if it works for your machine.

I'm not sure what your machine is set up with, but if it has USB input/output ports built into its controller, you probably won''t need any additional motion-control hardware.
