Hi all,
I was thinking of buying some Gecko G201's for my first router, and buying brand new motors and making a small machine at first. I figured that way, I wouldn't have to move from a small system to a big system and by new drivers and steppers. But then I thought of just getting a cheap kit and gettting some good motors, ( again so if and maybe when I move up I don't have to buy twice). I was looking at the Hobby CNC 4 axis driver for about $60 for four axis. I want to buy some 190 oz-in vexta motors for this. They are rated at 3 amps and 3 volts. The board is rated at about 1.25 amps per phase continuous and 1.5 amps at startup ( just wondering, what's that mean?). So my problem is, how to run these motors at 1.25 amps or whatever. How much torque would I lose by running these motors on this driver? Would there be any other problems like overheating, or lost accuracy?
Thank you very much for your time.
I really appreciate it. :rainfro:
