What permanent CNC solution do you recommend?

I'm a hobbyist looking to expand potential with a nicer machine. Willing to spend between 5 and $10,000. (I know, work hard-play hard). Anyways, I was looking to get the Shapeoko but really didn't like the limited z axis and would like something I can upgrade later to even larger.

I'm looking at this system (more parts needed of course).

    https://www.cncrouterparts.com/pro6060-5-x-5-cnc-router-kit-p-634.html

It's large, robust and should be able to do almost anything imagined. Plus if I want to do some custom doors etc in can always add the parts to make it 5x10.

Any other solutions out there? I'm 34 years old and really want to get something that will last me 40 years or at least a framework for upgrading.

    Any thoughts?

Imo, there's really nothing better without spending a few thousand more for a Camaster.
And the nice thing about the AVID is that you can easily modify if your needs change.

I agree. I have an Avid 5x10 Pro CNC and like it though I wish I would have had the money to spend twice as much for a Camaster with ATC. But the Avid machine is accurate and makes money for my young company.
