Easy Q - wiring/connectors to buy for driver, motors etc.

I am ordering parts to put together a CNC machine...

I plan on going with the MASSO (link below) and a 4 axis NEMA 34 motor, power supply and driver kit.
I will follow the directions for wiring instructions BUT

    Here is the question....

***How do I decide which wiring to buy and which connectors?***

    Masso: https://www.masso.com.au/product/mil...controller-g3/
    NEMA 34 Kit: 4 Axis CNC Kit 1841oz.in Nema 34 Stepper Motor 5A 86x150mm & Stepper Driver 705701863663 | eBay

I am always interested in other perspectives on if I'm heading in the right direction with the stuff I am buying. Purchased a 3x5 CNC from CNC router parts. Its up to me for all the electronics etc. Just for hobby. Still looking at spindles.

The link to the motors is bad.

I mean the link doesn't work. I can't comment on the motors if I don't know what they are.

Okay, it looks like this kit?

Do NOT buy this kit. Small Nema 23 motors would easily outperform these large motors. Bigger is NOT better.

What you want is a stepper in the 650oz-in range, rated at 6 amps and an inductance rating around 2mH, and run them at 60V-70V. And good drives like Leadshine EM806's.

Those cheap ebay kits with huge motors are complete garbage.

Thank you! I think I can still cancel my order. Thats what I needed... a point in the right direction. I imagine closed loop would be best? Even if it is just for hobby it will lead to less errors on large projects?

I'm not a fan of closed loop steppers.
A properly setup open loop system should be 100% accurate.
