    What's a good 60v stepper driver?

The TMC5160 chip can handle up to 60v. However, the two lower priced breakout boards that Trinamic offer for it are voltage limited to 36v, and Trinamic says that this is do to their choice of mosfets, which are only rated to 40v: https://www.trinamic.com/fileadmin/a...eet_Rev1.1.pdf

Is it true that higher voltage will offer up faster acceleration/acceleration? What are some common drivers that accept up to 60v, and what are some motion control boards that allow for that? I ask because I'm discovering that a number of motion control boards (e.g. the Woodpecker board) will actually decrease the input voltage down to 12v before sending it off to the drivers, and, of course, this mostly defeats the purpose of supplying the board with higher voltages.

Lam Technologies DS1073 and DS1076 can handle 90 volts DC and the equivalent DS1073a and DS1076a are equivalent units that take 65 volts AC
https://www.lamtechnologies.com/Prod...=EN&idp=DS1073 and give 90 volts to the motor.

The advantage of the ac drivers is that you don't need to rectify an AC toroid power supply becasue you can connect the AC output from the toroid direct to the driver (which is what I do).
