Hey all,

I have a 1986 Hitachi HT-20 with the multi control. Right now, when it goes to boot up, there's a bunch of squigly lines on the screen, and then all the letters turn to jibberish. All the background images are correct, but nothing is legible. Unfortunately, I don't know this control well enough to navigate it without text! I'm trying to figure out how to fix this... I finally wrote a post-processor that does what I want.

The LCD display must be broken, need to replace with a new one.

I'm having a hard time blaming the LCD when the background images are fine- I wonder if there's a board that is responsible for just the overlay text that may be going bad...
